COURSES

I focus on clients who are interested in working not only with their dog, but also on themselves, who are willing to admit that a nobody is born wise, who do not care about absurd advices like "feed your dog only outside", but prefer scientific knowledge, experience and work in the field, and whose main goal is to have a reliable partner for life.

In addition to courses for adult/pubescent dogs and puppies, I provide home-environment analysis, home interventions and pre-purchase and preventive consultations.

After the consultation, it is possible to arrange a tailor-made course if you have not chosen from the range of courses. I will be happy to adapt the course in the number of training lessons and their lenght, if it makes sense for your dog.

If you want to train in two or more people (husband, sister or sixth cousin), you have to count on an extra 25%. The work I do on you is psychological - I have to feel each handler and adapt the course to them. A submissive handler requires completely different guidance than an authoritative handler. The 25% fee is the minimum necessary so that the other handler does not have to buy the whole course.

If necessary, my four-legged assistant Adriana will attend the courses.

COURSES

CONSULTATION PUP

Consultation before the planned purchase of the puppy or a few days after its coming into the family. It lasts 60 minutes and is intended for prospective handlers who do not want to leave anything to coincidence. We will discuss the basic principles of breeding and explain the basic mechanisms of functional communication with your dog. I will tell you what to focus on in the first days and what to watch out for. We will show you how to work sensitively with your puppy from day one. If you are interested, we can also consult the choice of breed or diet. If you don't have a puppy at home yet, my canine assistant Adrianka will help us in training of clear communication.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS 60/90

Individual lessons are booked one at a time. They last 60 or 90 minutes. The appropriateness of the length of the lesson will be assessed according to your dog. During the lesson, we will work together to address a specific problem according to your needs.

CONSULTATION

Our cooperation begins with a consultation. It lasts 60 minutes and during it I get to know you, your dog and you get to know me. We'll talk about your relationship, what's working well together, what's bothering you and what you want to improve. You will learn what you are doing well and what you need to work on. You will learn the philosophy of my approach, which is based on the application of scientific knowledge to working with animals and is based on respect for your individuality and the individuality of your dog. You will find out if this approach suits you and if you want to work with me on training, obedience or correction of an unwanted behaviour.

COURSES FOR ADULTS

The adult and teen courses are a discounted series of 60 min lessons that start with one 60 min consultation.

SIX

FINDING THE COMMON GROUND

A series of 6 meetings during which we will uncover the causes of problem behaviours, work together to set up the optimal way of communication between you and your dog, and reinforce basic obedience. The content of each lesson will be based on the outcomes of the consultation.

1x 60 min consultation + 5x 60 min

LONG STORY

LONG-TERM CARE

Regular work on correcting all acquired bad habits and strengthening basic obedience. The content of lessons will be set according to the individual needs of the handler and the dog based on the results of the consultation.

EXTREME

If you have an animal exhibiting extreme behaviour (attacking people and other dogs) or requiring daily care, the service will be priced after a prior consultation. In the first case, the price will increase by 100 percent or more over the table price depending on the condition of the dog. In the latter case, by at least 50 %.

If necessary, one of our dogs can be used for training in dealing with problematic situations.

HOME INTERVENTION

This is an intervention at your home, the aim of which is to manage a crisis situation. Such a situation may be your pet's aggressive behaviour towards a household member or attempts to intimidate him/her, extreme displays of separation anxiety, attacking other pets, refusal to accept a newborn, large-scale destruction of home furnishings, self-harm, experiencing an acute traumatic event (death in the family, in a pack, injury) or developing a disease affecting his/her behaviour. Interventions can also include support in dealing with acute health complications, for example, when a client with limited mobility needs assistance in transporting the animal to a veterinary clinic and support during examinations.

However, given that we have a baby, it is important to consider that it may not be possible to provide a home intervention in the timeframe you would like.

HOME ENVIRONMENT ANALYSIS

A visit to your home to analyse the environment in which the dog lives and how this environment can negatively affect its behaviour, health and well-being. We will discuss feeding (when, what, how much, how often), access to water, sleeping and resting (where the animal sleeps, why it sleeps there, where it wants to sleep, where it has a safe space to hide), walking (how often, for how long, when, where, what the time outdoors is filled with), interaction with people in the household, play, cleanliness, habits and bad habits, respect for commands at home, overall set-up of the regime, handling (when, why, how and how often, feet, teeth, ears, eyes, fur), behaviour of the people in the household towards the animal, adequacy of potential punishments, what has gone wrong in the past and do you know about it and so on.

For example, you will contact me in cases of separation anxiety, barking, attention forcing, inability to rest, inability to perform basic maintenance on the animal, excreting in the apartment/house, destructive behavior, displays of defiance/despect/aggression towards people in the household, inadequate reactions to household appliances, panic behavior, escapes (completed or not completed), etc.

The logical outcome of such an analysis is not the immediate elimination of the undesirable behavior, but the adjustment of the environment, the regime and your joint functioning in a way that is optimal for your dog and allows the undesirable behavior to be minimized and gradually eliminated.
